OCR is a leading UK awarding body and a part of the Cambridge Assessment Group. We provide general and vocational qualifications which engage people of all ages and abilities, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need for their future and helping them achieve their full potential.
We work with schools, colleges, workplaces and other institutions in the public and private sector. Over 13,000 centres choose our qualifications, which include A Levels, GCSEs, Cambridge Nationals, Cambridge Technicals and Cambridge Progression.
We develop our qualifications in close consultation with teachers, industry leaders and government to ensure they are relevant for learners today and meet requirements set by the Regulator (Ofqual).
Established over 150 years ago, Cambridge Assessment operates and manages the University's three exam boards and carries out leading-edge and operational research on assessment in education.
Cambridge Assessment is a not-for-profit organisation. We research, develop and deliver educational assessment to eight million learners in over 170 countries every year through our three exam boards: OCR, Cambridge International Examinations and Cambridge English Language Assessment.
Our qualifications are valued and recognised by universities, employers, governments, immigration authorities, professional bodies and education providers around the world.
We believe that it is our role, as experts in assessment and a body independent of government, to influence, advise and offer guidance on education policy and strategy both in the UK and overseas.
